This week I have made a lot of really valuable progress. With the complexity of the gameplay, it took a lot of work just to set up the state machine and get the UI in a good place. I think from this point on it should be much smoother sailing since I have the framework of the game complete. The only thing I wasn't really able to complete was the implementation of more interesting and complex enemy ai, as well as some of the complex cards I was hoping to add. I should be able to add these before the next playtest however, and depending on when I actually do my first playtest, I might have some of those features implemented as well.
I am feeling a lot more solid in my design this week. None of my plans or goals have changed. My goal for this next week is to do the playtest of course, but I'd also like to implement more of the cards, as well as make the enemies more interesting. Since there are so many unique cards, I can see this being a goal that spans awhile.
