RADHARANG FOUNDATION ABHANGWANI PROGRAM FOR SENIOR CITIZENS

Radharang Foundation Abhang Gayan Competition was held on January 8th 2018 as a musical start to the new year and about 300 people enjoyed the event. Fifteen senior citizens participated in this competition. The judges were renowned musicians Mrs. Anagha Gogate and Mr. Sanjay Athale. The accompanying musicians were - Mr. Daji Gosavi on tabla, Mr. Aba Mestri on pakhawaj, Mr. Papu Naik on harmonium.

The first prize was won by Mr. Shekhar Panshikar, followed by Mr. Dhondu Satardekar and Mr. Ankush Sangelkar as second and third prize winners respectively. Mr. Gajanan desai and Mr. Anant Gosavi were consolation prize winners.

Spectacular Performance by RadhaRang 2016 Science & Maths Scholars in the 2017 SSC Examination

RadhaRang 2016 Science & Maths Scholars Shivam Janardan Thakur (99% - Maths - 99%; Science - 99% ), Vaidehi Deepak Thakur (98% - Maths - 100%; Science - 99%) and Mandar Rawool (90% - Maths - 89%; Science - 94% ) gave a brilliant performance in the 2017 SSC Examination.The three promising students made all the RRF members proud by securing very high marks in Science and Maths.

FINANCIAL AID GIVEN TO DESERVING STUDENTS

Financial aid of Rs. 10,000/- was given to Manthan Bhagat for his college education. Two siblings Samruddhi Samant and Mayur Samant were also given financial aid of Rs. 5000/- for further education. DONATION GIVEN TO BARRISTER NATH PAI SEVANGAN

A donation of Rs. 10,000/- was given to Barrister Nath Pai Sevangan for their Health Fund. A copy of the letter of gratitude from the Sevangan and receipt is attached here. (<-- Please click)

RADHARANG FOUNDATION DRAWING COMPETITION 2017

2017 RadhaRang Foundation Drawing Competitions were organized at Achare, Vetore, Madhyachi Wadi, Malvan and Deogad.

Drawing Competition was held at Achare, on August 5th 2017 for children of Stds 3rd and 4th. A sum of Rs. 10,000/- was spent for the competition. Prize winning entries were:

First Prize: Madhura Sachin Jadhav, Std 3rd, English Medium School, Achare.

Second Prize: Sagar Parab, Std 3rd, English Medium School, Achare.

Third Prize: Shubham Parashuram Shetye, Std 3rd, Jilha Parishad School, Achare Parwadi.

At Vetore, this event was organized in the memory of Late Shri. Mohanrao Samant and Shri Nana Naik. The event was held at Shri Devi Sateri High School, Vetore. Children from 16 schools in the region participate enthusiastically in this competition.

The competition at Madhyachi Wadi near Path/ Parule, was organized by Shri Deepak Samant and his dedicated and passionate team of teachers. They achieved a lot within the limited resources.

Dr Subhash Dighe and his team workers organized the competition at Malvan. The results are as follows:

First Prize: Nachiket Madhav Madden, Topiwala High School.

Second Prize: Amulya Hemant Satam.

Third Prize: Mayuresh Dilip Wayangankar, Bhandari School.

At Deogad the competition was organized under the guidance of Shri. Santosh Walawalkar.

SANE GURUJI KATHAMALA 2017

Akhil Bhartiya Sane Guruji Kathamala Malvan Samiti organizes this grand event annually on behalf of RadhaRang Foundation, in the memory of Late Freedom Fighters Snehlata and Sadashiv Tirodkar, under the guidance of Shri Moreshwar Desai and Dr. Ashok Sarnaik. Year 2017 was the sixth year of this event and it was inaugurated by Shri Babukaka Avasare. Children from stds 4th to 8th participated in this popular story telling competition.

RADHARANG FOUNDATION 2017 SCIENCE/ MATHS SCHOLARSHIPS GRADE IX IN MEMORY OF SHRI VASANT SARNAIK

Seven schools and thirty students participated in this annual event organized on behalf of RadhaRang Foundation.

The results of the RadhaRang Foundation 2017 Science/Maths Scholarship Exam, in memory of Shri Vasant Sarnaik, for grade IX organized by Shri Devi Sateri High School, Vetore. Scholarships worth Rs. 22750/- were distributed tovarious students. The top three scholarship winners are as follows:

First Rank: Noopur Jitendra Samant, S L Desai School, Path.

Second Rank: Chitrakshi Sandesh Prabhu, PNM High School, Tendoli.

Third Rank: Akshay Gurunath Parab, Shri Devi Sateri High School, Vetore.

PANDURANG PUNDALIK EXCELLENCE AWARD 2017 sponsored by Drs. Ashok & Sharada Sarnaik

The following students from A.S.D.Topiwalla High School Malvan were the recipients of Pandurag Pundalik Sarnaik Excellence Award 2017. These awards were given on January 27th 2017 at the school Tamrapatra Function.

Sports tournaments were organized in various schools with expenses of Rs. 22,000/-. Some of the pictures of the events:

SOME OTHER ACTIVITIES OF 2017

• Essay competition for 8th and 9th grade students was held in various schools and prizes worth Rs. 13,500/- were distributed.
• A donation of Rs. 10,000/- was made to Shree Devi Shanta Durga School at Vadachapat for their science project.
• Purchase of cupboard and stationery worth Rs. 7000/- and Rs. 1000/- respectively.

THE FIRST MEETING OF RADHARANG FOUNDATTION COMMITTEE MEMBERS HELD IN VETORE

The meeting was held on Wednesday, March 22nd 2017 at Shri Devi Sateri High School, Vetore, Taluka Vengurla, District Sindhudurg. It was presided by Dr. Subhash Dighe. Under his guidance the following members were elected to run the operations of the RadhaRang Foundation Committee:
