Lee Morton

Lee is a current Scottish and Great Britain hockey player, who will share his thoughts with us on how train effectively in lockdown. He will also provide an insight into the challenges faced by professional athletes at this time. There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the session and we hope to see lots of the Queen's community there to give Lee a warm welcome.

Here is some background on Lee:

After starting his career playing for Kelburne in Scotland Lee moved down south to Reading where he spent two years before transferring to his current club Old Georgians.

Lee made his Scotland debut in 2014 against England! He now has 56 caps for Scotland, having featured at tournaments including the World League, European B Division 2017 (winners) and theEuropean A division which was held in Belgium in 2019.

Lee also played in the 2018 commonwealth games in the Gold Coast in Australia finishing 6th despite going into the tournament ranked ranked 9th.

Week 2

George Garrett

Mr Lintott welcomed George to his Elite cricket session where he was quizzed by the students. Having recently left school to attend Birmingham University, George has been juggling his studies with cricket and the results have been impressive. His recent performances for Warwickshire CCC suggest that he has the temperament, as well as the skills, to become a serious challenger for a long-term place in the attack. His wickets were a key factor in the stunning fightback win over Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in September.
