How to Overcome Premature Ejaculation and Improve Your Sex Life
Premature ejaculation is a common issue that many men face, but the good news is that it's treatable. As a licensed psychologist and sexologist, I've helped numerous individuals overcome this problem, and in this article, I'll share some insights from my coaching program to extend the time it takes to ejaculate and enhance sexual endurance. You don't have to live with this issue for the rest of your life; there is hope.
Understanding Premature Ejaculation
Premature ejaculation can be defined as the occurrence of ejaculation before desired or earlier than three minutes into sexual activity. However, for some, it could happen at any moment, affecting either partner or both. Some men experience it from the beginning of their sexual life, while others develop it over time due to various factors like stress, relationship changes, or external pressures.
To be classified as premature ejaculation, it should be a recurrent issue during sexual encounters. If it happens only occasionally or in new relationships, it may not qualify as a chronic condition.
The Solution: My Coaching Program
In my coaching program, I help individuals gain control over their ejaculation and prolong the duration of their sexual activities. The program is designed to address different scenarios, and the exercises are tailored to each participant's unique needs.
Types of Premature Ejaculation
Inability to Stop: Some men struggle to halt the ejaculation process once it has started. At this point, no matter what they do, it becomes challenging to prevent ejaculation. This situation is known as the "point of no return," and the key is to learn how to stop just before reaching this point.
Rapid Resurgence: Other men can stop the process temporarily but find it difficult to prevent the immediate return of desire upon re-stimulation. This can lead to a loss of control, and they may end up ejaculating despite their best efforts.
Pre-penetrative Ejaculation: For some, the issue is even more challenging, as they ejaculate even before penetration occurs.
The Importance of Breathing Exercises
One of the essential exercises in the program is a breathing technique that helps individuals remain relaxed during sexual activity. When we become excited, our breathing tends to become rapid and shallow, signaling to our brain that there might be a threat. This triggers a fight-or-flight response, and in this case, ejaculation might occur prematurely.
To counteract this response, I teach participants a simple breathing exercise:
Find a comfortable position, sitting or lying down.
Inhale deeply, counting to five, and then exhale slowly, counting to five.
Continue this deep and slow breathing pattern for five repetitions.
Practicing this exercise daily, preferably in the morning or evening, helps individuals get accustomed to the rhythm of deep breathing, promoting relaxation during intimate moments.
The Journey to Sexual Satisfaction
The coaching program comprises a series of short videos delivered weekly via email, each lasting no more than six minutes. Participants are encouraged to allocate 30 minutes, three times a week, to perform the exercises. Within two to three months, they can expect significant improvements in controlling their ejaculation and prolonging sexual encounters.
It's crucial to acknowledge that taking control of your sexual life can be a life-changing decision. Many men feel embarrassed to discuss this issue, but remember, you are not alone. Approximately three out of ten men experience premature ejaculation at some point in their lives.
