The teaching objective of mine is to help students develop their technical and personal skills. For the new millennium, preparing students to live and work in this century is a calling. And I have answered that call to teach. Now, the question is, "How?"
To achieve this, I aim:
To teach relevant subjects at an introductory-intermediate and advanced level.
To draw on the expertise, and working experiences, of students, and help them establish a network of contacts.
To combine a broad interdisciplinary base to the curriculum with facilities for advanced study of selected specialist areas.
To incorporate the results of current research into teaching.
To help students learn the specialist techniques used in the study and to enable them to develop computer literacy, techniques of independent action, communication, team working and other personal skills.
To encourage students to consider how information technology decisions affect employers, customers, suppliers and society at large, making them aware of ethical, security and environmental issues.
The objectives of individual courses are drawn up with my teaching objectives in mind and new courses are assessed within this framework.
