Prasannanshu is an M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Delhi; M.Sc. (‘European Masters in Clinical Linguistics’), on the prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarship of the European Union (Rijksuniversiteit, Groningen, Netherlands, and University of Potsdam, Germany; he also holds an LL.B. and M.A. (English). He was a Visiting Fellow of the British Academy and the Institute for the Advanced Studies in the Humanities, UK.

He has published several other books, and papers in international and national journals; Edited national and international volumes, and has delivered many lectures in India and abroad including at the University of Hamburg; Edinburgh Law School; University of Glasgow. He has taught at several universities and institutions, including Rai University, MAIT, Skyline University College, Sharjah, AIIMS, ICAI, Bureau of Parliamentary Studies, Delhi Judicial Academy, and trained people at many other institutions.
