Athena Swan Award
TUoS Athena Swan Silver Award, 2022 - 27th June 2024
I was part of the analytical team supporting the university's successful application for Athena Swan Silver Award. There was an insightful award event with excellent presentations on good practice for gender parity. Colleagues are invited to share their examples of good practice on the 'Gender Equality and EDI good practice form'.At the event I also collected our Athena Swan Bronze Award on behalf of SSoA.Accreditation, EDI,Participation,Jennifer Kerr
Student project awards
ASCA Education Prizes, 2023 - Ongoing
Recognising that students are influenced by what the school outwardly recognises as excellent performance I worked with Architecture Students for Climate Action to initiate and deliver a new set of awards presented at the Schools end of year exhibition. In 2023 an award was presented to a student in each year in recognition for the quality of the work in response to the climate emergency. In 2024 I supported the initiation of 2 new awards recognising excellence in climate writing.Recognition,Climate Emergency,Building Performance,Material Cultures,John Sampson andCatherine Skelcher
Striving for Race Equality
TUoS Race Equality Charter, 2023
I am participating as an analyst and committee member in this work representing the School of Architecture. The project, which stems from the TUoS Race Equality Strategy and Action Plan, is ongoing and has surfaced a range of global and specific issues which may be addressed with future inclusion policies at the university. However, the immediate aim is to apply for Bronze Accreditation.Accreditation, EDI,Participation,Jennifer Kerr
