Your starter Pokémon finds themselves in the middle of the quaint Freevie Forest, an area filled with mystery. As they wander around, they bump into another Pokémon who is struggle to fend off a group of Combees. Once they defeat them together, the Pokémon you helped noticed they had never seen you before and gives you a guided visit to their home, Flora Village. There, you will spend quite a while living with them, later becoming your Partner Pokémon.
Your Partner Pokémon brings up the idea of joining a guild, more specifically the Sneasler Guild which is very well-known to the entirety of the village. As they learn about the guild master, their ideas were crushed immediately by how eccentric she was. Kaslana, a Fire Delta Sneasler, surprises them by laughing and even pulling an innocent prank. She explains that she loves exploring but that she's getting old, which is why she mentors other explorers with her wise tips. After a little bit, Kaslana gives the team their badges and their supplies, allowing them to properly explore the mystery dungeons around Kogranar!
With rumors that your team has started working under the Sneasler Guild, Alice, the Bisharp taking care of the local Dojo, approaches the team about losing one of her kids inside of the Flashflame Tunnel. After rescuing them, you are given access to her dojo. After helping out the village a bit more, the team sleeps with satisfaction. However, this didn't last long, as a storm caused one of the members to wake up. A shadow made signs of following it, however following it or not, its identity could not be found.
Later on, the shadow reveals themself after you follow them into the Violet Plains. He reveals himself to be a Meowstic with the name of Apollon, a member of the mysterious Myth's Circle. He does not explain much, but expresses interest in you and your team then vanishes. You go home with confusion in your eyes.
As you notice one of the guild's teams bullying Fleur, you accept to help her retrieve her lost goods by chasing the thieves into the Mistral Lake. You manage to retrieve the goods, but also encounter Morgan, a strange Bombirdier with knowledge of a mythical Pond of Potential, known to give Pokémon great potential by evolving them. You accept their invitation to the Pond and set off, but not before learning more about it from the guildmaster herself.
At one point, Apollon comes back to you with a request to escort him deep into the Ancient Cave, where ancient knowledge about Kogranar is stored. There, he tells you about the ancient Pokémon that previously ruled the region before it was forcefully sealed into its cocoon where it hibernated for thousands of years. As it is incredibly destructive, Apollon tells you that the Myth's Circle's mission is to prevent its reawakening. Though, as he tell you more about his goals, a certain Absol interrupts the conversation...
PHASE 2: SEVEN TABLETS, SEVEN HOT SPOTS
After the strange encounter at the Ancient Cave, you were given a special mission from Kaslana to explore the rest of Kogranar in an attempt to understand the history of an ancient beast sleeping under Kogranar. As you were getting ready, Fleur explains that she and Hades, Alice's husband, can confirm the existence of said beast. However, Hades hasn't come back in a long time, which has been bringing worry to Alice every day. There is also words about hot spots, which are areas where strange activities are more prevalent. Fleur gives you a map with the location of said hot spots. Thor also joins in the conversation and gives you a mysterious pendant, having a feeling that said pendant will be useful later on.
The first hot spot according to the map is at the Slumbering Titan, however many dungeons had to be explorered before ending up there. You come across Team MMM who desperately want to steal your job for you, as well as a strange Indeedee who seems very interested in the tools you were given to understand the world of Kogranar to the point of stealing your pendant and almost taking away your map. Not only that, after encountering Apollon on your way to the sleeping volcano, you bump into the Absol, named Nether, from the Ancient Cave, only this time, they were accompanied by a Miraidon named Pivot and a Meowstic named Artemis. They are extremely keen on stopping you from finding the hot spots for reasons you don't quite understand yet.
Desperately trying to help you escape from the trio, Apollon instead teleports you to the Myth's Circle, where you meet many of the legendaries who are supposedly helping Kogranar as needed. However, you notice many odd things, such as some of the inhabitants looking shaken up and the ruler themselves speaking in riddles. In the end, they ask you if you want to team up, but no matter the response, you are being sent to the Slumbering Titan, where you find the first Unown Tablet which says: The flames of the titan will fuel the shackles. Unfortunately, as you tried to continue your explorations, your map gets snatched by Team MMM, who force you to chase them back to Flora Village.
Back at Flora Village, Kaslana gives you the map back after snatching it from Team MMM then asks you to let her join your adventures due to how serious the situation at hand is and wants to start with Starry Plains. At the end of it, you find a tablet which says: the stars shall guide you towards your fate. Morgan explains a bit more about the history of Kogranar:
A group of Legendary Pokémon lead by the beast of Kogranar named Ragnarok made sure the world was at peace. However, it goes through a cycle of creation and destruction, destroying and recreating Kogranar several times. According to Morgan, it had recreated Kogranar at least thrice. After creating Kogranar, it hibernates in a closed flower cocoon at the Heart of Kogranar, Armageddon, for 3000 years before waking up and destroying the world again. Exceptionally, it has been sleeping for 4000 years due to its subjects sealing it for longer than usual.
There is urgency in understanding what's happening to the Beast of Kogranar, and so you continue exploring. You run into the Indeedee again, who gives you the pendant they stole because they were unable to find a use for it. You, then, find the Crystal Cavern where new powers could be found in the form of potent stones.
The next hot spot was at the Dragon's Maw which is located at the Northern Kogranar. You bump into Nether's group again who once again try to stop you, only for the warden of the mountain, a draconic Mewtwo named Gai, to step in. They try warning you that the tablets are a catalyst to destruction only for them to be blown away by Morgan, who comes in clutch. She tells you this tablet says the dragons shall sing the ode to a new future and that she would like to talk to you at the Spectral Peaks. Though, when you are there, both Morgan and Apollon wait for you, forcing you to side with one or the other.
If siding with Apollon, he helps you find the tablet more easily.
If siding with Morgan, she explains the origins of the Myth's Circle which is as follows: The Myth's Circle was meant to protect Kogranar from Ragnarok and made their own realm to do their job better. But, things have changed for the worst especially with rulers changing.
You continue exploring until you get to the Hoarfrost Heights, where a imposing Lugia fusion and Nether's group awaits you. As you barely manage to stay alive, a Moltres with familiar colors manages to take down the legendary, allowing you to find out that the tablet in the dungeon says: even the comfort of frost will not save you from destiny. The Moltres took you close to the Deserted Canopy and reveals themselves to be Kaslana's true form. She explains that she used to represent Moltres in the Myth's Circle and the Lugia at the heights was actually her father. She doesn't understand why he decided to side with the circle again, hence her wanting to find out with you.
While at the Deserted Canopy, you find the Indeedee again who doesn't know what to do with the Unown tablet in front of them but doesn't want you to have it either. After defeating them, you find out the tablet says: the flora shall turn red at an opportune time. The next dungeon seems to be the Shifting Shrine, which at the end of it, you find many members of the Myth's Circle, thrilled to see you read the words on the Unown tablet there, which says: Kogranar is ever-changing, but there will always be a cycle which cannot be broken by anyone
However, this comes with a catch, and they imprison you at the Myth's Circle while forcing you to spill what you know so far about the tablets. Fortunately for you, Kaslana and some unexpected guests, including Celueta, save you from the Myth's Circle. Celueta explains that it used to be the Zygarde ruling over Kogranar's ecosystem, however it was accused of being the one bringing madness and was banished from the Myth's Circle. Since then, it seeks justice for its fellow cells.
The last tablet points towards the Treacherous Battlefield. Before exploring, Kaslana explains that it was the last place she saw her teammates before being separated. There was also a war between the Beast of Kogranar & the Myth's Circle and many were sacrificed. Kaslana seems to have bad memories from the dungeon overall, but knows that she has to go there.
At the end of the exploration, the tablet is nowhere to be seen, but a figure guides you to the Field of Sin, where the entrance to a strange area could be found. Before you could process what happened, you find yourself at the Heart of Kogranar.
More to come...
