Kogranar is a region the size of an entire planet which has a great diversity of biomes, though it is usually known that northern areas are much colder & snowy while southern areas are warm and humid, some areas even experiencing frequent rain. The general shape of the region is one of a fragmented flower, however, each fragment vary in sizes; from continent-sized to country-sized. These fragments are in the form of islands. Despite this, though, it is greatly fragmented into smaller islands, all of them together forming the shape of a closed flower. Not only that, smaller islands around it formed peculiar dungeons that have not completely been understood by any Pokémon yet and are known to have their own set of rules when it comes to climate.
Everything in Kogranar is built using existing natural resources, meaning that the buildings & most items are made by using wood & other essential materials. However, with magic energy overflowing in Kogranar due to its strange circumstances, magical items can sometimes be used in one Pokémon's daily life, though they are hard to find. For example, there are special orbs often used to try and predict the weather or even control some of the types one Pokémon can't normally use. Not only that, but there are rumors about ancient artefacts bestowed by the different Legendary Pokémon of the region.
Not only this, but technology does not naturally exist in the area nor are the native population interested in developing it themselves. However, with the rise of Pokémon randomly finding themselves in Kogranar due to the mystery dungeon phenomena, it is sometimes possible to find a phone or two, though they are usually looked at oddly.
Pokémon usually treat legendary Pokémon with utmost respect, as according to ear-to-ear folklore, the existing legendary Pokémon are around to serve Kogranar and to protect it from imminent destruction from the sealed Legend. Ethereal & Godly Pokémon are also typically revered as they all have very unusual abilities for Pokémon and can even be looked at as deities, even if some of them are not necessarily legendary Pokémon. Almost all Legendary Pokémon have their following, only a very small few are universally disliked due to their bad ties with ancient history.
Pokémon mostly eat other Pokémon or plant depending on the species. Unfortunately, not much has been done so far to find alternatives for carnivorous Pokémon.
Flora Village
Flora Village is located at the main base area of Kogranar; at the south. It is a small village, housing many skilled explorers, as well as a guild; the Sneasler Guild. Despite it being fairly close to the Pond of Potential, the village is not very affected by the magic overflow in Kogranar, and such; dungeons around it often are not considered as dangerous. It is named as such due to the overwhelming variety of flora which decorates the house & the paths to the different businesses. It has many exits, one of them leading to Freevie Forest which is 10 minutes away from the village. Another one leads to the Flashflame Tunnel, which used to be a place where Flora Village inhabitants exchanged goods with those living at the tunnel. Unfortunately, the mystery dungeon phenomena transformed it into something much more dangerous than it used to.
The Sneasler Guild is a relatively new guild, only having been made around the time Freevie Forest was turned into a dungeon (~1 year ago). It was founded by a Sneasler by the name of Kaslana with the help of her adoptive father, who have presumably vanished one night.
Pond of Potential
A pond overflowing with energy; it is one of the main areas where different Pokémon can evolve. It is said that bathing in it causes important changes in a Pokémon's physique & abilities. Due to the amount of power it holds, many dangerous Pokémon like to dwell around it; using the pond to lure prey towards them. Despite this, its guardian does a very good job at holding them back from attacking Pokémon that take a drink or bathe in the pond's water.
The protector of the pond is almost always a Guardian of Kogranar, though the current protector, Adonis, was made into a guardian after exploring the dungeon as a little Eevee.
Myth's Circle
The Myth's Circle is a realm beyond Kogranar where all the Legendary Pokémon live. They oversee the world of Kogranar from there while having their own society & customs. It is known that there are a lot of Pokémon of the same species, but that there is usually only one or two representing the entire species during important decisions. Most, if not all, Legendary Pokémon have their own following, whether it's in the form of a group or, in some cases, in the form of cults.
It's very common for non-Legendary Pokémon to live at the Myth's Circle as well, although they tend to have the Ethereal or/and the Godly trait, otherwise they can't handle the overwhelming magical atmosphere. Despite that, there is a very clear hierarchy in the realm, which is as such: Superior > High Court (Apollon, Schicksal, Occasion) > Legend Leaders (representants of the species) > Everyone else.
This Circle has existed since forever. Currently, it's not known how long they have been around, but it's known that Superior was not always the leader of the Myth's Circle.
Good Fortune / Storyless Abode
A village west of Flora Village which used to house very generous amounts of resources provided by the forests, rivers & mountains around it. It was meant to be made as the perfect land for Pokémon, a paradise where others can get the ultimate peace they always wanted. Unfortunately, a magical disaster of unknown origins (either caused by a member of the Myth's Circle or the Beast of Kogranar itself) destroyed the village in a way that remaining survivors could only cling to a fragment of their past selves.
These fragments are known as Blanks and their existence can't be normally spread across Kogranar without the loss of memory.
The Lost Lands
A world normally inaccessible through Kogranar which houses Pokémon that "are not meant to exist". It's known to be extremely unstable and glitchy, constantly breaking the rules of reality. However, with the Beast of Kogranar's unusual slow awakening, the Lost Lands has spread its influence to Kogranar, desperately wanting to make itself known and allowing its inhabitants to exist, to have a meaning of life.
It seems to be very closely tied to the spread of Mystery Dungeons & Dungeon Madness across Kogranar.
Outlaw Town - Deserted Canopy
The Deserted Canopy is home to a town which is now infamously named the "Outlaw Town". The Canopy used to be much bigger filled with resources and riches, however everything crashed down, causing the remaining inhabitants to form a town. Due to how difficult it has become to survive in the canopy, the town had to resort to crimes to be able to gather the necessary resources to keep thriving. This has been more prevalent ever since Superior had become the new ruler of the Myth's Circle.
The Outlaw Town is lead by a Simisage named Silvius, who has a never-ending determination to take down the Myth's Circle so that his town can have a more fair chance at survival, and then life. This area is explored in Optional Quest #6.
Shifting Shrine
The Shifting Shrine wasn't always a dungeon, in fact it used to be the home of one of the Guardians of Kogranar, Theseus. However, Theseus had seemingly vanished from his home for quite a while, to the point that neither Adonis nor Morgan knows of his whereabout. This shrine is a representation of change; a representation of time going forward. The underground waterfall at the end of the shrine used to be where Theseus lived alongisde the other Pokémon, unfortunately there are almost no more traces of him left.
Currently, it is vacant and home to a lot of dangerous Pokémon. Perhaps one day, an explorer team can go and find Theseus and resort the shrine back to its former glory?
Heart of Kogranar
It is said to be where the Beast of Kogranar is hibernating. More to come...
Pokémon from all over the multiverse accidentally found themselves in the quaint world of Kogranar, a region shaped like a closed flower. No one fully understands the ancient history that caused it to become a paradise for its inhabitants. For now, every Pokémon is welcome to live at the precious Flora Village where the community is small and tight-knit, with a few shops to help those in need.
For reasons not very well-known yet, many of the world's beloved locations have turned into mystery dungeons, housing dangerously powerful Pokémon, some of them even blessed with unusual abilities. While some of the inhabitants still visit them as if nothing happened, others fear them to the point of never visiting those dungeons.
---
Under Kogranar is the Beast of Destruction who have been dormant for over 3000 years. It is said that it awakens after 3000 years, however the Myth's Circle has managed to make it hibernate for much, much longer than it should. Despite their efforts, though, the Beast is slowly threatening its awakening, which manifests through the spread of Dungeon Madness all across Kogranar, as well as more areas turning into dungeons and new phenomenas plaguing the world (such as the spread of the Lost Lands and the appearance of Boss Pokémon in dungeons).
It is said that 7 Unown Tablets have been placed at strategic areas all over Kogranar which supposedly share wisdom about the Beast of Kogranar. Unfortunately, with the Beast slowly awakening, these areas have all turned into mystery dungeons; only the strongest and most persistent can get to all of them. It is also revealed that Kogranar is an anagram of the Beast's true name: Ragnarök.
More will be revealed over time...
