Friend and ally to Exa_Gone, Ahmed is a capital asset in the anti-Data Security fight.

Amedi Zola Wright, also known as Ahmed, is an arms dealer operating in May City.
Son of a largely established black market family business, he made a name for himself with his determination to fight off the UMF’s tyranny in the lower districts of the city, with his siblings who lead the gangs against the violent repression of the military.
Helped by Nathan once during their youth when he was tracked down by OPSY agents, Ahmed owes his life to the hacker and the two became friends and allies after that event. Through the years and their complicity, Ahmed becomes a satellite member of Exa_Gone’s core team and helps them regularly with Pharmatek implants and Drift tuning. He provides and installs Nathan’s Drift Port in 2084 and, later, his exo-spine implant in 2087.
The two rebel cells complete one another against the DS-UMF alliance: one covers their backs with active firepower, while the other works forward to dismantle the propaganda and social monopole of the corporations.
The armsdealer is one of the few people to know of Matthies’ old involvement with the Drift and DigiScan technologies. Looking up to his old idols like the infamous ‘terrorist’ Tanaka, Ahmed believes violence is a viable mean to free the people of May City of Marco’s implicit dictatorship.
Despite his non-chalant demeanor, Ahmed remains a man of influence and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty if his business or friends are in danger. This aspect of the gang used to scare a few members but ultimately came in handy when the rebellion occurred in 2086.
However, despite the savior aura, Ahmed remains part of an arms dealer business and contributes indirectly to the bloodshed of the wars plaguing their world. Often providing weapons to the oppositions, Data Security sees Ahmed’s involvement as an opportunity to test new weaponry while reinforcing the hero narrative in their established propaganda. His contributions assure the continuation of the ongoing fights and feeds the fear-factor the UMF feeds off.
In that aspect, Ahmed needs Exa_Gone to succeed to bring the fake scenarios of Data Security to an end, no matter the cost.

As Data Security's reputation began to crumble, Marco's bloodshed doubled and the power-hungry CEO took part of the fight first-hand among the OPSY squad. Despite his best effort to take down the corporate man, Ahmed only managed to blind one of Marco's eyes before he perished by the hands of the latter.
To this day, his death fuels Nathan's rage in his motivation to destroy Data Security.
