Rental Rules

Please contact Staff if you want to rent a home or vendor to sell products at OS!

Thank you for your interest in renting. There are a few rules that you must agree to when you rent here at Origins of Sin:

• Renters shall adhere to Linden Lab's Terms of Service.

• When the Rental Box is paid, all Renters are invited to join the OS Land Group to ensure that furniture isn't auto-returned. 

  • Ensure you have a Group Slot open.

  • If you miss the initial invite to the Land Group, click on your rental's box and then "Resend Invite".

  • Please contact staff if there are any issues with your rental or rental's box.

• One Rental per player. 

  • Renters are not permitted to "reserve" or "hold on" to Rentals for others under any circumstances. 

• Be advised that if Renters allow Tenants in their Rentals, both persons' prims will count towards the Renter's allotted prim count.

• Rentals are rentable as-is. There are no special accommodations under any circumstances.

• All Rentals must stay within 50li.

• In addition, all objects must not exceed 2500kb in scripts. Failure to adhere will result in the objects being returned.

• Unless converted into an IC Business, all Rentals are regarded as Private.

• Furniture and decor shall fit the Medieval Fantasy theme. 

  • Gorean is permitted.

  • Modern, Steampunk, & Sci-fi are not allowed.

• Outfits, attachments, and objects that can be seen or heard outside Rentals and are disruptive or out of theme are not allowed.

• If rent is unpaid, there is a 36-hour grace period where items are not returned. 

  • When the grace period ends, the Renter will be removed from the Land Group, and their items will be auto-returned after three hours.

• Should there be alterations to your rental's location or if the Sim closes, and there is still time on your rental, contact OriginsOfSin Resident to have your extra time refunded.

• Renters may exchange their rental for another but be advised that those on the Waitlist will have priority.

• Origins of Sin Staff reserves the right to make changes and take action accordingly if they have any reason to suspect a Renter is manipulating the rental system or breaking SL TOS and/or OS Rental Rules.
  
  
  

• For Landing Zone Vendors, wares promoted & sold must be within the Sim's theme and cannot exceed 25li.
