Patient Position: Prone with the arms drawn down by the sides of the body. The arms may be placed in traction to ensure visibility of the lower cervical vertebrae.

Most Likely Surgeon Position: Patient's left side.

Monitor Position: Right side of the patient by the patient's feet.

C-arm Position: Patient's right side.

Expected Projections:  AP and lateral

Noteworthy: Include C1 in images so the correct level can be verified.  You may need to do a cone down of C6-C7 if the patient has large shoulders for your final lateral projection.
