Patient Position: Supine, slightly obliqued with affected side raised by a towel or bump.
Most Likely Surgeon Position: Patient's affected side.
Monitor Position: At the patient's feet on the affected side.
C-arm Position: Patient's affected side, perpendicular to midline.
Expected Projections:Â PA Hip, True PA Hip (rotate slightly to open up the obturator foramen) and low PA Pelvis to demonstrate both lesser trochanters in one image to determine if there is a leg length discrepancy.
A radiograph that allows the surgeon to draw a line between the superior edges of the lesser trochanters will be required to determine if there is a leg length discrepancy.
