Peerless Mill

The Peerless Mill site was established in 1828. The existing mill building was the sawmill and the adjacent parking lot was the site of the gristmill. Both of the mills were powered with the waters from the Miami & Erie Canal.

The sawmill was converted into a restaurant in 1929. The Peerless Gristmill ceased operations in 1938 and the old structure was razed.

As of 1988, the Peerless Sawmill is now known as the Peerless Mill Inn. A visit to the restaurant allows you to appreciate the historic structure. The old mill building has a flagstone floor. The interior of the building exhibits the structure's huge hand-hewn beams. The restaurant also has 4 beautiful, large, stone fireplaces. The building is no longer used as a mill but the structure has been maintained and is open to the public to visit. It is a great place to incorporate on a trip for lunch or dinner. As of July 2012, the Peerless Mill Gristmill / Inn is closed. The display waterwheel is gone and the multiple buildings are vacant.

From I-75, west on S.R. 725 to Miamisburg, drive through town, turn left (south) on First Street, drive to the end of town, turn left 1 block, turn left on Second Street, at 319 South Second Street.
