Freshman year can be a big shift for some. At the Spectrum newspaper, we decided to interview freshman students about how their school year has been so far. When interviewing the freshman we asked the following questions:
What are your thoughts on freshman year so far?
“School is pretty good and it’s going pretty smooth.” - Billie Schloss
“It’s going really well.” - Harper Kaplan
“Probably the amazing teachers” - Henry Neil
“There’s a lot more people.” - Jason DiSemone
What’s the biggest difference you notice between high school and middle school?
“High school definitely has a lot more freedom and everything is better, like the teachers.” - Billie Schloss
“There is a lot more freedom in the high school.” - Harper Kaplan
“The school is very big compared to the middle school.” - Henry Neil
“Hard question, there's more people with the bigger school.” - Jason DeSimone
Who’s your favorite teacher so far?
“I'm probably going to say… Ms. Sussman." - Billie Schloss
“Ms. Sussman.” - Harper Kaplan
“Mr. Gibson.” - Henry Neil
“Mr. Mattsen.” - Jason DeSimone
Some advice for freshman students is to stay focused, organized, and not to be afraid to ask questions and speak up! We’ve all been there before, but let's make this year a fresh start.
Thanks to Billie, Harper, Henry, and Jason!
