As school comes to an end, many are very eager to have a great summer but are often left with the question of how. Finding fun things to do in the summer can often cost a lot of money that many teens don’t want to spend, as they have to begin thinking about how to pay for expenses such as college. So, here are some fun and inexpensive activities to do this summer:
Slip ‘N Slide: If you do not have access to a pool, a fun way to have fun and cool off this summer is to have a Slip ‘N Slide. All you need is a tarp, water, and some dish soap.
Sidewalk Chalk Mural: You don’t need to be a little kid to have fun with chalk. You can make creative drawings to brighten up your street and it’s a super fun activity to do with friends.
Farmer’s Market: Farmer’s Markets are a great way to get out of the house and to wander around even if you don’t want to buy anything. Nyack holds a Farmer’s Market every Thursday from 8am-2pm, with many different types of produce and desserts.
Music in the Park: On Tuesday evenings during the summer at Memorial Park, Nyack holds a Music in the Park event where people can sit on the grass and listen to bands play. It is a great, relaxing, free way to spend time with friends and family during the summer.
Homemade Ice Cream: Making Homemade ice cream is a fun activity to do with your friends and it can be made without an ice cream maker. Here is a website that shows many different ways to make ice cream without an ice cream maker:
