The end of the year marks a significant milestone, bringing with it a sense of closure and accomplishment. It is a time to look back on the months gone by and recognize the hard work, growth, and memories created. As 2025 comes to an end, I asked students & facility members to reflect on their experiences, challenges, and achievements over the past months. These end-of-year interviews share personal growth, memorable moments, and valuable insights that have shaped their journey.
“It’s been a fun year. I got better at school and learned how to work better with friends.’’ - Michael Meyo (Freshman)
“It’s been a long year – I'm ready to move on.” - Juliet Francisco (Freshman)
“I’m tired.”- Maren Graham (Sophomore)
“I learned after this year that when studying, find a specific song per subject and stick with it. That's how I locked in for any tests, Radiohead or Sleep Token for mathematics.” - Lena Bouzgarrou (Junior)
“My goal this year was to have more respect for myself overall, and I think I managed to do that. I often will prioritize other people, and recently it’s been about me and bettering myself. I think more people-pleasers need to start focusing on themselves (which doesn’t even have to be big; it can be just small things). !!!” - Angelique Fortiche Ocampo (Junior)
“The past year has been pretty tough, but I’m glad I learned some very important lessons. I have completed my New Year’s resolution, and I’m very proud of it. This year was a reminder that it can get better, as long as you find the right motivation and people along the way!”- Elena González (Senior)
“The past year has been full of challenges, yet I’ve been able to push through and I’m feeling stronger than ever. I have had a very great year, and I hope to keep going strong for the next as well.” - John Jimenez (Senior)
“I bought a 2025 Mercedes-Benz, and I enjoy it very much! It was an amazing year, 2026 will be even better!” - Mrs. Jeanne Lowden (Security)
“This year was a great year filled with productivity & positivity! I reached many of the goals that I had hoped to accomplish.” - Ms. Yarden Sussman (Teacher)
“I am grateful that I survived. I lost family & friends, but their memories will live and carry me through and beyond 2025.” - Mr. Kirk Allen (Teacher)
