Come see Nyack High School’s spectacular production of "MAMMA MIA! The Musical." The performance dates are March 11th and 12th at 7:30 pm, March 18th at 7:30 pm and March 19th at 1:30 and 7:30 pm.
Synopsis:
According to www.broadway.com, "MAMMA MIA!" includes “ABBA's greatest hits… woven into a sunny tale set on a Greek island. On the eve of her wedding, a bride's quest to discover her father's identity brings three men from her mother's past back to the place they last visited 20 years ago.”
MAMMA MIA Senior Interviews:
I had the chance to interview five seniors in the show and ask them how they felt about this being their last high school production.
Sadie Kopacz commented, “It definitely feels weird. I have made so many memories and so many friends. Theatre has been a huge part of my life and I know this is going to be my last show, but Mamma Mia is the perfect production to end off on. I can’t wait to perform with so many talented people one last time.”
Kevin Jie commented “I’ve been in most of the high school productions, so I’m excited that this gets to be our last one because "MAMMA MIA" is definitely a much bigger title and a much more exciting production.”
Maxine Thorton commented, “Me and Sadie have been in drama club together since the fifth grade and every year we have done a production together, so we have been waiting for our last final production forever and we are really excited to be playing best friends on the stage as well as in real life.”
Katchy Nnonyelu commented, “It does feel weird because the last production I was in was in 10th grade and that was during COVID, so that was a challenge, but now that we are seniors, it’s crazy to see the position that we are in. But I’m still going to enjoy it and I’ll make it the best one ever because even if I’m not the most talented one in the group, I just want to be able to make memories and solidify my legacy here.”
Robbie Kern commented, “It’s obviously very sad that I cannot do this again, but I am very excited that it is Mamma Mia as my last big show.”
