Great Chow
Eating out at a restaurant is supposed to be a fun experience, but waiting for long periods of time for your food to come can ruin the entire ordeal. Nobody wants to sit foodless in a restaurant for more than fifteen minutes with a growling and rumbling stomach. Unfortunately, this is often the case, even in the best of establishments. However, this does not have to be everyone’s experience, because at Great Chow, the wait will never be a worrying factor! When eating-in, food comes as soon as five minutes after your order is taken, and take-out is not much longer!
Great Chow is a classic Chinese restaurant located in Quincy, Massachusetts. Sitting at 17 Beale Street, both sit-in and take-out dining are available, making it the perfect go-to option for any scenario. Obviously, the quality of a restaurant is not based solely on the wait-time, but many other factors contribute to the overall appeal as well, with the most important of them being the food. And at Great Chow, the food is something that is done to perfection. The other factors - portions, prices, and atmosphere - are just a number of other things that Great Chow is doing right.
The menu is both large and diverse, and offers an incredibly wide selection of both platters and individual items. Foods range from the classic Pupu platter, to soups, to vegetables, and the delicious fried-stuff. Just to give a few examples, the crab rangoons, spare ribs, and shrimp lomein are to-die-for. The crab rangoons, filled with the perfect amount of crab meat stuffing and surrounded by a crispy wonton wrapper, are fried to give the most delightful texture. Also on the menu that is absolutely delicious is the spare ribs. Cooked to the perfect texture and coated in a mild, yet flavorful sauce, this menu item leaves you wanting more. Finally, the shrimp lomein is made with the freshest vegetables and meats, creating a healthy, filling, and delectable meal.
When restaurants have great meals, the receipt usually reflects it. In today’s day and age, eating out has become very expensive and prices have risen greatly in just the past few years. At Great Chow though, there is no paying huge amounts of money for small portions of food - the food here comes in massive quantities that make it anything but easy to finish a whole plate, and the prices are incredibly moderate. Restaurant-goers get what they pay for, and much more.
It seems as though it cannot get much better, but it does! The atmosphere when eating-in at Great Chow is exciting, yet calming at the same time. The dining area is large and spacious, and filled with booths, giving eaters a private experience. The multiple TVs in the room allow sports fans to keep up with the games, while still enjoying a night out. To make everything just a little bit better, there are large buckets of the classic fortune cookie scattered throughout the restaurant - great for anyone with a sweet tooth!
When looking for a quality place to eat, especially when craving Chinese food, Great Chow is the perfect place to go. All aspects of the establishment are perfect - the food is delicious, the portions are big and the prices are low, and the atmosphere is superb. All of these factors add together to create an experience that will be more than spectacular.
