Like all fast food chains, Chipotle has also had its fair share of scandals. The most notorious of these scandals was when Chipotle customers were getting E. coli in 2016, and in order for someone to come in contact with E. coli that would mean they were exposed to feces. Not what you want to be hearing after you ate a burrito. While this outbreak damaged Chipotle’s reputation, they overcame the scandal and implemented new testing for foodborne illnesses. Chipotle is now known for having some of the strictest food handling laws in any fast food chain in the U.S.

Although it's rather grotesque scandals were enough to put some off, many are still avid goers to the restaurant, their diverse and healthy menu appeals to many different groups of people. Many bodybuilders or athletes will help themselves to a classic Burrito Bowel after a hard workout because of the healthy contents and the calories that accompany them. Chipotle is not just for those who wish to be fit though, some people just like a good burrito every now and again. And Chipotle has got them covered too.
