A businessman linked to Swindon Town has placed one of his firms into liquidation.
But the Australian construction magnate, who according to reports owns a 15 per cent share in Swindon Town Football Club, played down any suggestion it would affect his involvement with the Robins.
Asked if it would have an impact, he told the Adver: “No, not at all.” The decision to wind up Axis M&E Ltd was part of a general restructure – with another of his companies the most significant creditor, according to liquidation papers lodged at Companies House.
We know this to be untrue due to the Winding Up order by The Shore Group and the 7 CCJ's against Axis M&E. The most significant creditor is Axis Plumbing NSW Pty Ltd which has also since been liquidated and is under investigation for Malpractice by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission.
We also know that James Mark Skelton was appointed as a Director of Axis M & E Limited on the 3rd March 2020. The process of the liquidation started on May 29th 2020. Clemente Morfuni remains a Director and Person with Significant Control of the business.
This was prior to Clem taking control of the club and the first mis-truth of many.
