These guidelines entail how Storytellers may go about organizing and submitting NPCs, Rings, Agencies, and worldbuilding for locations to the website. Official Storytellers are permitted to submit canonized elements, which means they must have previously been featured in a Storyteller’s canon game in a meaningful way. This feature is strictly for documentation purposes, meaning non-canonical elements or otherwise not-yet canonized npcs and the like cannot be canonized via submitting them to the site.
When submitting to the website directory, a Storyteller will utilize the following google doc templates. Multiple submissions may be sent at once, such as submitting a location and some of the Rings in said location. Storytellers are not required to post spoiler content in their submissions, or information that isn't canonically known, but are not prohibited to submit OOC lies or misleading content about their submissions (a submission may have a fake name an NPC introduced themself with, but a Storyteller may not write that an in-character known demon NPC is an angel, for example). WIP Submissions (such as leaving in placeholder lorem ipsum text, submitting npc character frames but with no character description, empty npc character frames, etc) are not accepted, as we would like to keep the website tidy, though a Storyteller may leave certain NPCs absent from a submission, or submit additions and edits later on. Submissions are generally expected to utilize serviceable grammar and are to be kept safe for work.
A Storyteller may send the completed templates to #frog-mailbox in the Discord server. Major edits require a template to be submitted again (adding an NPC to a Ring, changing a Ring’s description text, etc). For minor edits, simply ping frog with the minor edit in question. Storytellers may collaborate on stories as well as submissions as long as all participants’ creations are properly credited.
LOCATIONS: X
A template for the city or general setting that a Storyteller’s worldbuilding and narrative takes place. This should be kept to specific cities and areas. If the location already exists, a Storyteller may submit any relevant pieces of theirs to the location.RINGS AND AGENCIES: X
The standard Symphonic bread and butter. Use this template for submitting Rings and Agencies, including player Rings. Rings and Agencies will be listed in order of submission on their respective Location’s page.GOD MACHINE FORCES: X
A catch all template for local groups and individuals aligned with the God Machine. Works for cults, companies, gangs, and groups of relevant angels.NON-SYMPHONIC GROUPS: X
For Storyteller pieces that aren’t predominantly Symphonic, such as mundane organizations that play an important role or groups of human allies. Note that these groups don’t have to be completely void of any supernatural or symphonic presences.OTHER: X
A section for independent Symphonic individuals, one-off npcs, player backstory NPCs, random humans players got attached to, and the like.Any images included in submissions must be stored on any type of image hosting platform, such as Deviantart Stash, Dropbox, or Imgur, and be clearly labeled. Image dimensions for npc frames and page banners must NOT be changed.
A Storyteller can download psd files of certain website assets below, should they want to customize the pages of their submissions further, which is recommended.
