Where is the line between the flesh, the circuitry, the bone, the gears, the blood, and the pistons?

♢ SUMMARY

Manta Corp is an agency of Inquisitors - but certainly not the benefactory type, perhaps especially since they run with a blatantly Integrator side-plot. Manta Corp was established in 1882 by a group of Stigmatic cultists on the Delta in New York City whose entire mantra and goal was to understand the inner workings of the God Machine through study of Infrastructure and Angels. However, the risks involved with attacking the God-Machine proved impossible, and it was far easier to focus time and attention on the less favored siblings of Angels: The Unchained. Not much is known then how Manta Corp’s current leader rose to power, but anything worth doing is worth doing well by someone who knows best. At present, Manta Corp runs its operations in Redmond, WA and Seattle, WA under the guidance of a very old Unchained known as Suture and alongside the God-Machine. It has garnered respect and fear in the region for its wealth, influence, power, and Integrator aligned motives. In Seattle, it’s perhaps best to keep your head down when faced with an evil whose greatest pastime is to dissect you.

Suture of Blood and Bone

Suture’s mission for most of their previous life was to create instruments that could assist Infrastructure and advance medical technology - and after their fall in the late 1700’s, not much has changed.

Taking several covers throughout their life from surgeons and inventors including Wener Hagendorn, they led the development of medical technology while quietly learning the trade of gadgetry and illegal experimentation in the background.

At present, Suture is the unquestioned leader of Manta Corp despite not being its original founder, and has seemingly established their own Hell in the depths of the 1962 Seattle Time Splinter. Quick to expand their research and loyal to the Machine they serve, Suture continues to push forward with their obsession for biomedical mechanics of the symphony.

THE HELMETS

Perhaps one mystery is known as Manta Corp’s “Helmets” - a team of trusted individuals specifically raised to go out to do Suture’s dirty work. Each Helmet is unique yet uniform in their skills of evasion, secrecy, athleticism, intelligence, and stealth. All wear helmets designed to augment their voices to a mechanical, unrecognizable tone, obscuring their identities, and each often have unique specialties.

Urchin's Eye

Skilled in firearms and quick to retreat when things turn sour, Urchin is one of the Fish that has been under Suture’s employment for the longest. Somewhat of a leader figure, Urchin has proven themself reliable in the event of making quick decisions and weighing the pros and cons of survival or loss of assets. Urchin, like all other Fish, was heavily trained into the position they hold today. Despite their helmeted attire and a difficulty for one to know their true feelings behind the mask, Urchin is fiercely loyal to their cause as a whole, making them a difficult mind to sway.

Heralding Flintlock

Flintlock is undoubtedly a very new member of Manta Corp. A passionate and fanatic weapons engineer, Flintlock left behind a job when his loved one was killed in an explosion set by Jinhai Pang. Filled with fury and a need for revenge, Flintlock works tirelessly under Manta Corp, filled with an almost ravenous belief that the God Machine will bring its retribution on those who wronged him. A talented gadgeteer and knowledgeable electrical engineer, Flintlock has proven himself useful to Manta, and a tool that can be used for further gain. However despite his sense of self import - it is safe to say he does not get the privledge of being close to the head of the snake.
