Ted's art work was done in the 1960s when he was a perpetual student at various universities.
He started in the art program at Ohio University but ended up with a Masters in Sociology. While going to school he worked in the library reference department.
He married his boss Katharin Kippenberg and became a librarian (in various capacities). He retired in 2004 and may take up painting again, but currently his interest is the fiddle.
