Photo ~ 1892. Mary Alice Nicholson was one of three Nicholson sisters of Rochester, New York who married three Standing brothers of Earlham, Iowa. Mary Alice and Charles Standing lived on a farm two miles north of Earlham and one and one half miles east of the Bear Creek Meeting House. Granddaughter Wanda Knight has a water color of the barn on the Charles and Mary Alice Standing farm.
