From 11.22 to 12.21, the Sun transits across Sagittarius every year. The sign is ruled by Jupiter, which sets a path for Mars although not beyond Saturn's limits. Jupiter is assigned to eight Egyptian Tarot cards by Kier Ed., a deck where 3 is its number. And, among Greek deities, Artemis and Hestia are related to the sign of big movements and loyalties, calls and commitment.
This solar month is a time to reach destiny. A path has been walked through, and looking back will show the phases to be now left behind. With almost no effort, the journey ends to take the prize and achieve the goal. I Ching refers to it as the moment immediately before full light and development, or full generative darkness, according to the Hemisphere people live in.
In classic Astrology and esoteric Astrology, Sagittarius counts on several rulers: Jupiter, Mars and Neptune, which are key masses for developing mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, the very Sagittarius & Pisces). And, according to Karmic Astrology, Fire signs (Aries, Leo & Sagittarius) are the ones to awaken the flames of life, which eventually become a single flame.
indexJupiter is assigned to 2 major cards and 6 minor ones: The Empress (3), Temperance (14), Exchange (30), Testimony (39), Completion (48), Rivalry (57), Perplexity (66) and Generosity (75)

23. Entering the empty (productive cycle).
Changes won't be resisted. Obstructions will hardly remain for long, and those ones still on the way will disappear: inner forces won't be able to hold the weight of circumstances. Solid columns providing support will be weakened, and outer pressures may cause a collapse, since yang, light, active force, comes from the outer world. All of this may seem dangerous and, probably, there will be conflicts in the search of remaining still. But this is part of a process, a cycle about to come to an end. It won't be possible to fortify the situation or even find strenght to face the demands of a world coming closer each time. Now, things will fall down because of their own weight, as a tendency, in decidious forms, in visible deterioration. In the roots, bases or foundations, and even in thinking, there's nothing more than emptiness.

43. Resources are on the way in a time for implementation (productive cycle).
It's time to make decisions. But some variables might be out of sight, remaining unnoticed. Time and sensibility are required to become aware of them. A month to stay open to what may come from the outer world, thinking on exchanges to let in information, knowledge, sensations. Inside, there are no doubts or dangers, and both production and efficiency will be at best. An active tendency is in increment, counting on inner strenght to move forwards and be resolutive at the time of separating, diverging, differentiating or just making important decisions. Things will easily potentiate each other, to the point that activities may overpass the available means to handle or contain situations. Regulating will be a hard task although the increment of resources and actions is meant to make full moves.
Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are all mutable signs. They are related to transformative processes, and later they're in charge of those changes needed for the future about to come. When the Sun is in Sagittarius, the four mutable signs are developed in a very specific way.
Among Olympian deities, Sagittarius is associated to Artemis and Hestia: when desires are orders, and the main activity is ruling. About Artemis, read the previous newsletter delivery, since Greek deities rule two signs of the Zodiac: Artemis rules both Scorpio and Sagittarius.
People born between 11.22 and 12.21.24 will establish a lot of relationships, developing many points of view and a tendency to bring balance. Collective experiences will have a big impact in their lives, which will deviate them and free them from persistent searches. They'll focus on keeping daily life in good terms, affinity and mutual acceptance. Some of them will fully go for causes or goals, some others will quickly explore big areas, and others will have to make a big effort to keep their thoughts in order. Those born between December 04th ad 10th will need to take some fresh air from themselves, since pursuing goals might be an obsessive pressure. But expect for more questioning and undecided Sagittarians since day 17th, who won't be easily influenced by other people anyway.
I Ching and DNA
Lines forming I Ching's hexagrams, and combined, have been compared to the components and links of the DNA, a mollecule of big dimensions and basic for our life. Both I Ching and DNA are considered to be codes, and the elements grouped in blocks and sequences are decoded inside of a structure based on principles or laws. The synthesis of proteins leads organic life on Earth to growth, and hexagrams refers to growth either, although related to a superior order, such as Cosmos is.

The month of Sagittarius in the Northern Hemisphere is associated to the Owl, which flies silently with the wind. Of mysterious personality, people of the sign adore adventures although often take big risks. They protect nature meticulously, and usually love arts and educational activities. About their personal relationships, they're good listeners and prefer a partner who wings away periodically to just soar together.
The month of Sagittarius in the Southern Hemisphere is associated to the Deer, a sign of soft and humoristic characteristics that brings everyone into sync. When no one knows what to say, Deer does. In fact, people often invite it to parties just to have a good conversation.

Trees of Celtic tradition
Tree spirits are assigned according to lunar months, which begin at different dates than solar months do. When the Sun is in Sagittarius, Reed and Ruis spirits flourish. That of Reed is present during only three days of the archer's month, between November 22 and 24. The rest of the solar month belongs to Ruis tree. But the spirit of Reed tree has been present since before, when the Sun was in Scorpio, so you may find more about this spirit in the previous newsletter delivery dedicated to the sign of the scorpion.
People born between 11.25 and 12.23 are assigned to Ruis tree (called Elder in Gallic). The tree is associated to R character, which corresponds to the second phalanx of the little finger, and the latter is associated to Gemini and the ruler Mercury. It means death, transition, rebirth, continuation and evolution.
Of mostly ornamental crop, the name derives from the Greek term sambuke, a musical instrument made of young branches (hollowed). It was believed that the Devil would be seen if a Ruis tree was burnt, but if planting one near by, it would help to keep the Devil away. It's also known as the tree of Judas Iscariote, who hung himself from a Ruis tree.
It grows better in a bit humid, fertile and neutral soils, like valleys, humid woodlands, and near rivers and streams. It needs a lot of light, grows fast up to 23 to 29.5 ft and may live up to 50 years.
When young, the trunk has a plain and green cortex. And as it matures, it turns brown, with deep lenticels (foldings).
It's a branched bush of dense foliage, and dark and opaque leaves, softly dentated, hairy, oval-shaped and enlarged ending, growing in opposite pairs, in 3, 5 or 7 flakes.
Small hermaphrodite flowers form numerous compact groups. Of 5 white petals, they're attractive and perfumed. Fruits are small (from 0.19" to 0.23") and form numerous groups too, going from green to black as mature (there are more than 150 varieties of Ruis, so there are also red and blue berries).
