Aphrodite, goddess of loveShe was born from the sea foam when Chronos, son of Uranus the creator, castrated his father. The goddes was mainly considered as the goddess of love and beauty. She gifted her skills to Pandora, the first woman on the planet, born from the goldsmith hands of Hephaestus. Trees of Celtic tradition
Tree spirits are assigned according to lunar months, which begin at different dates than solar months do. When the Sun is on Aries, the spirits of Fearn and Saille. That of the Fearn is present since before the beginning of Aries season, between March 18 until April 14. The rest of the solar month belongs to Saille. People born between 04.15 and 05.12 is assigned to the spirit of Saille (called Willow in Galic). The tree is associated to S character, which in Chiromancy corresponds to the ring finger. It's a dense bush reaching up to 10 mt high. It grows fast in templated weather although easily is adapted to several climates. Anyway, it prefers humid soils, and a lot of light, living up to 50 years in some cases.
The trunk, generally inclined, is of a corky consistency, and the wood is easy to twist. When young, the cortex is smooth and green but later became brown and rough, with depp grooves. Young stems are hollow inside, so they're used to make whistles, flutes and blowguns. The cup is low, quite bushy and rounded-shaped.

Flowers are is numerous white bunches, compacted, and are easily seen on the cup.
Fruits are very small, scnented, initially green, then turning to read and finally black when mature. But there're many variations of Saille, and fruit may also be red or blue.
Of ornamental, medicinal and culinary utilities, it's considered a pioneer species in the colonization of many places.
