From 07.22 to 08.21, the Sun transits on Leo every year. The sign is ruled by the very Sun, the luminary associated to a series of 10 major cards in the Egyptian Tarot. The series relates the star to Pluto, the most outer planet of the solar system. Center and periphery are united in Kier's deck, and many of the characteristics of the Sun-Pluto couple can be also found in the mythical narrations of the Olympian gods related to the sign: Zeus and Demeter.
This month is the first month after that of the solstice, and we start seeing the first seasonal changes, after the beginning of the summer with the longest days in the Northern Hemisphere, and after the beginning of winter with the longest nights in the Southern Hemisphere. And as I Ching describes the way light and darkness increase month after month, the Moon's nodes also point to opposite - complementary karmas experienced in each hemisphere of the planet.
According to classic and esoteric Astrologies, Leo counts on several rulers: the Sun, Uranus and Neptune, which are quite important for developing the fixed signs (Taurus, the very Leo, Scorpio & Aquarius). And, according to karmic Astrology, Fire signs (Aries, Leo & Sagittarius) always end up descending to Earth from the singular brightness of the stars, reconciling with depths and becoming part one more time of sea tides, as everybody else.
indexFour major cards and six minor ones are assigned to the Sun: The Magician 1, Retribution 10, Persuasion 11, Inspiration 19, Uncertainty 28, Art and Science 37, Patrimony 46, Constriction 55, Vehemence 64, and Love and Desire 73.

KOU Coupling
44. Wood produces what corrodes it (destructive cycle).
Leo's season is a time to vary, to not remain attached to motives or interests for too long, to not remain fixated on long-lasting relations. The most general affairs, the most stable forms, might not be modified and, instead, a little bit more flexible ways would be good to take the chance on occasional contact, letting go control and detailed inspections. For staying free from everything and everyone, for assembling and disassembling, while flowing inside of a bit unstable inner situations. Anyway, this is a time to still keep goals in mind and reach what is expected.

FU Return
24. Wood extracts resources from soil (destructive cycle).
Leo's season is a shy awakening. The world still doesn't notice it but something is happening at the bases, in the mind. Darkness allows hiding from outer eyes, is a veil and curtain. However, new ideas are emerging, or older ones come to life again: a kind of inner shaking remains unnoticed by other people. Even though at first the change takes place in the way of thinking, it may become something more than a simple inner move, and could be considered as the seed of a new way to take action in the world, in further times.
Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are all fixed signs, and can always be found in the same relative place. Even going through changes and turns, or progress and reversal, they always keep the same ways and roles. And, when the Sun is in Leo, the four fixed signs are developed in a very particular way.
Among the Olympian gods, Leo is related to Zeus and Demeter: supremacy, generation and production.
Those born between 07.22 and 08.21.24 will be quite interested in preserving their physical attractiveness, and will be more than willing to know, learn and play (especially the ones born since July 31). Those of August will be openly more demanding about their liking and preferences, at the time of reaching agreements, in their personal relationships... They'll know quite well how to get the best from differences, and many times good luck will be on their side. But those born after August 14 will experience really big contrasts, between a complete informality and a strict behaviour.

Leo's season in the Northern Hemisphere is associated to the Salmon, a sign related to mature berries. Salmon people are described as enthusiastic, contagious and goal-oriented. They easily attract those wanting to be part of their ideas since they're intuitively driven to success. And, if next to the right person, they show themselves as sensual and willing to keep stable relationships.
Leo's season in the Southern Hemisphere is associated to the Otter, a sign mainly related to rest and purification. Otters are described as out-of-series people, quite singular and with a rare sense of play. There's nothing conventional about them and count on incredible creativity. They also keep good relationships and tend to take care of the household.

Trees of Celtic tradition
People born between 07.08 and 08.04 are assigned to Holly's spirit (called Tinne in the Gallic language). The tree is associated to the T character, which belongs to the middle finger's first phalanx (assigned to Capricorn and its ruler, Saturn). The Holly tree symbolizes action, affirmation and objectivity.
It's an outer tree that grows in semi-shadowed areas and requires a lot of water. It grows slowly although may reach up to almost 33 ft high. Of dark green leaves and quite dentated margins, they're perennials, so resist to cold weather. They're also full of thorns but, when reaching almost 9-13 ft, they don't need that protection any more and stop producing them.
They're well known for their intense and brilliant red fruits, coming out in autumn-winter seasons, and used as ornaments in Christmas holidays. Of 4 white petal flowers, females hold within a green pistil, whereas male flowers count on yellow anthers, which are large filaments containing pollen. Fruits are venom to humans but not to birds, that disperse seeds during digestion.
People born between 08.05 and 09.01, are assigned to Coll's spirit (called Hazel in Gallic language). It's a bush associated to the C character, which belongs to the annular finger's first phalanx (assigned to Aries and its ruler, Mars). It's related to creativity, purity and honesty, and is quite invoked to find answers and lost objects.
Branches and flowers grow from the base, and is rare to find a defined main trunk. The cortex changes from red to grey as it matures, and the wood is hard and flexible. Of a wide and dense top, it reaches between 26-32 ft high, and is quite sensitive to droughts. It prefers mist and humid air, so anvil-shaped coll rods are usually used to find underground waters. Of very wide leaves, with serrated margins and pointed ends, female flowers produce colls, a fruit covered by a kind of a helmet, whereas male flowers count on catkins, similar to the Holly's anthers.
