The goal is to ensure the confiscation of illegal items and proper processing of suspects, while adhering to established legal requirements and respecting individual rights.
Identification: When encountering a suspect, observe the items in their possession.
Determine Legal Status: Identify the legality of the items based on local laws and regulations.
Verify Suspect's Status: Check if the suspect holds a valid license or permission to possess the items (e.g., weapon license for firearms).
Bank Cards and Access Cards: If a suspect is found with bank cards or access cards of any color without a valid reason, consider these items as illegal.
Class 2 Weapons: If a suspect's weapon license has been revoked, any Class 2 weapons in their possession are considered illegal. This includes full auto weapons, shotguns, and specific types of ammunition. Note: If the suspect possesses a valid weapon license, these items are legal.
Class 3 Items: Identify any Class 3 items, including thermite, C4 explosives, Molotov cocktails, general explosives, and advanced lockpicks. Note: Advanced lockpicks are legal for mechanics during their work, but their possession during a felony is deemed illegal.
Drugs: Identify illegal drugs in the suspect's possession. These include OXY, crack, marijuana exceeding 10 grams (measured by weight), and XTC.
Burglary Tools: Recognize tools associated with burglaries, such as electronics kits, drills, and advanced lockpicks.
Tuner Chips & Nitrous Oxide (NOS): Determine if tuner chips and Nos were found in the possession of suspects. These items can only be legally used at privately owned venues or race tracks and are illegal on public roads. Note: Suspects using tuner chips and Nos to evade the police or traveling at excessive speeds should be considered for confiscation.
If any of the identified items are deemed illegal, law enforcement officers should confiscate them.
Process the suspect according to the law, considering the nature of the items found in their possession. Ensure that all evidence is properly documented.
Handle confiscated items as evidence, following proper evidence management procedures.
Ensure that confiscated items are used as evidence in any subsequent legal proceedings, as required.
