About the activity
I have been interested in studying for Japanese for years. I did started a bit a long time ago and have more 600 days streak on Duolingo. However, I have never take it so serious and only do one or two Duolingo practice per day so I am no where. Recently, many factors drove me to get more serious with it and I decided to bought and finished a few vocabs book which I believe to proof beneficial.
Result + reflection
One of the biggest obstacle for me in the past is finance. I never discuss this with anyone so I need to use my own money for it which make online course a rough choice for me as it need to be paid monthly. Somehow, I have never thought about an actual book until recently. It cost just around 10 USD each and I can use it forever. I also learn that a vocabulary book with sample sentences is way more effective than a grammar book. By the time of writing this, I've finished one book and half on the other. To be fair, I think my skill did improved a lot by finishing the first book. My goal for now is to be able to hold a daily conversation in Japanese by the end of my high school year.
