Muscle control: Quad shake
Rarity: Extremely rare
Quad shake is the contraction of the quad muscles at such high frequency that the muscles have no time to be restored to their relaxed position, looping the contraction from the mid-flexed to flexed position. It is almost exclusively performed by bodybuilders on stage. Given than muscle control is no longer routinely performed in bodybuilding contests, it is a rare find.
An excellent example of quad shake (3:20) follows by Steve Benthin who is actually the only modern professional bodybuilder that we know of who frequently demonstrated muscle control stunts (pec bounce, quad shake).
