Throughout the year we will have the opportunity in class to cover an array of healthy eating topics so that students could demonstrate an understanding of strategies that are used to promote and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
We may reviewed the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating and the information the students would have learnt over their time at school. We will look at what everyday foods are and sometimes foods. The students may be asked to write down what they are eating and then review whether or not they are eating foods that come from the Healthy Eating guide and if not, perhaps look at what improvements they may need to make.

A great topic to discuss as then the students can help you with the shopping :) The students will be provided with a number of resources (some below) which will help them read some labels from food from home and decipher whether it would be a good everyday choice and why.
