1. Photographer Research & Biography

• Minimum 3 paragraphs

• Includes:

• Early life and background

• Career highlights

• Themes, subjects, or causes they focused on

• Why they are important to photography

2. Google Sites Portfolio (Published)

Your website must include: - Homepage – Photographer biography - Portfolio Page – Your 5 recreated images - Critique Page – Written critiques of 5 original images by the photographer

3. Image Recreation (5 Photos)

• Recreate 5 famous images by your photographer

• Images should be inspired by the original but not copied exactly

• Pay attention to:

• Composition

• Lighting

• Mood

• Subject matter

• Photos may be taken outside of class

4. Written Critiques (5 Images)

Each critique must discuss: - What is happening in the photograph - Visual elements and principles - Mood or message - Why the image is effective
