c. Make it pretty, not crazy
d. Make sure it is only on one page
2. Start with vocabulary word
3. Sounds like or respelling
4. Part of speech
5. Sentence from book "Quote properly" (p.89).
6. Picture
7. Definition as used in the book
8. Name at the bottom
Slide 1- What is ? Word you are defining - Your Name
Slide 2-Definition 1
Slide 3-Definition 2
Slide 4- Definition 3
Slide 5- Definitions 1-3 repeated - The voting slide
Slide 6- Word- Picture –definition
Slide 2- 4 should contain 1 real definition and 2 fake definitions
Use fake definitions from the dictionary so the real definition doesn't stand out as the most dictionary-like
Make sure you understand the real definition, if not, ask for help.
Make sure your letters and background are easy to read.
Have the word you are defining on each slide.
You may include a table for tallies on slide 5.
Do not time your slides.
Put in all the slides and definitions before adding sounds and other fancy features.
Presenting
Read real and fake definitions in random order with slides.
On slide 5 reread each definition one at a time and wait for students to vote.
