Create a Planet
At the end of the story Meg finds herself "standing on some kind of nondescript, flat surface. The air around them was gray." She is not surprised she has failed to notice the planet at first, because her surroundings were "unnoticeable".
Picture the exact opposite planet - a planet of unbelievable color and beauty, a planet that is extremely noticeable. Write a paragraph describing this place. Use as many descriptive details as possible. Appeal to as may senses as possible and use your descriptive words well. When you are finished give your description to a classmate. Based on your written description alone, have your classmate draw a picture of your planet.
