Topics: early neurodevelopment, nature and nurture, developmental origins of health and disease, fetal development, development of the body and the brain, cognitive and language development, emotional development and attachment, development of self-concept and self-esteem, social cognition, and the development of peer relations
Perfect for: students interested in psychology, human development, and/or considering a career in early childhood education.
Skills: self-reflection, healthy communication, empathy, acceptance of self and others, higher order thinking, creativity, team work, and positive leadership.
P4T leaders wil be trained to discuss topics with middle schoolers including: healthy relationships, consent, decision making, refusal skills, sexual health and wellness, personal identity, and self-esteem.

Minnesota Scholarships, and Empower to Educate: High School Juniors and Seniors can explore the Early Childhood field with a 3 Credit College Course for FREE! PTCC is part of the Minnesota State Colleges & University system: Extraordinary Education. Exceptional Value.
Students will be supported by faculty, dedicated peer tutors, and more! The HyFlex option will allow flexibility for high school students to complete coursework at a time that works for them! Advising for additional no to low-cost College Credits, Job Placement, and potential bonuses will be provided by a collaboration between the sponsoring agencies listed above. Students can earn up to $900.00 from Empower to Educate!
