Lamb names
It's fairly common for pedigree flocks to use an alphabetical naming system - the first year's lambs starting with A, the second with B and so on. Each year one of the jobs to do in the run up to lambing is to get together a short list of potential names for that year. This is a task I save for an afternoon when the weather is howling outside so it brings a little glimpse of the spring to come at a time when it is most needed.
Our lamb names and their origins are varied and perhaps reflect a bit of ourselves.
