Over half of our original flock was made up of Buff Sussex birds. They have turned out to be hardy and reasonably productive. Our home-bred cockerel, George, has a lovely calm nature and keeps everything in order within the flock.

Sussex hens lay the usual light brown eggs we're all used to.
