Saddlebacks

With no OSBs available in our area we widened the breed choice and located some Saddlebacks not far away. This will give us the chance to try another native breed, described as "at risk" on this year's RBST Watchlist.

After last year's success we had planned to raise more pigs and, as there were four gilts in the litter, this felt like the right number to take. Marigold, Nettle, Orchid and Primrose arrived on the farm on April Fool's Day - just in time for a late snowfall a week or so later.
