The City of Brooklyn Park developed a nature play area adjacent to the playground in front of the Community Activity Center. The goal of this play area was to create a space for a nature preschool program to use during programming. The play area was implemented in August 2015.

Cost: $4000 to add a hobbit house and remove/move fencing around the area. The rest of the cost was of staff time. The development of this nature play area is on-going as funds become available
Designer: Internally designed, city employees in maintenance and forestry assisted in collected loose materials.
