There were 20 contestants this year at Miss Oklahoma, hosted by the Tulsa Tribune

Ada Martyne Woods, an OSU student, was mostly photographed in her "Choctaw War Bonnet" which is on display with her buckskins in the museum in Tuskahoma.  Ms Wood was 6th place at the Miss America pageant, and became the first Choctaw with a degree in nursing. She studied at John Hopkins, and remained committed to the Choctaw people.
