These projects explored how technology shapes everyday life in different ways across the world and within healthcare. While each project focused on a different topic, both connected back to one big idea: technology can create opportunities, but it can also create challenges depending on who has access, knowledge, and support.
Project 1:Β
The first project focused on the digital divide in South Korea, where I explored how technology access does not always mean everyone benefits equally. Even in a country known for advanced technology and fast internet, there are still differences in how people experience and use technology.
Project 2:
The second project focused on AI assisted medical imaging, specifically how artificial intelligence is beginning to impact mammograms and radiology. Since I currently work in gynecology and plan to pursue a career in radiology, this topic felt especially meaningful to me because it connected classroom learning to real experiences I have seen in healthcare settings.
Together, these projects helped me better understand how emerging technologies affect communication, healthcare, education, and everyday life. They also made me think more critically about the balance between innovation and the human experience.
Technology is constantly evolving, and these projects reminded me that understanding it is not just about learning what technology can do. It is also about understanding how people interact with it, benefit from it, and sometimes struggle with it too.
