Unit 3 explored how digital media shapes the way we learn, communicate, create, and even think. From social media habits and screen time to digital ethics, copyright, and online responsibility, this unit made me realize how connected technology is to everyday life.
Before this unit, I mostly thought of digital media as entertainment and convenience, but I learned there is a lot happening behind the scenes. Things like licensing, Creative Commons, plagiarism, accessibility, and ethical online behavior all play a role in how content is shared online.
I also reflected on my own relationship with technology through activities about social media use and digital habits. Looking at my own screen time honestly made me realize how easy it is to lose track of time online without even noticing. At the same time, digital media can also be creative, educational, and meaningful when used responsibly.
This section of my ePortfolio highlights what I learned about:
Digital media formats and licensing
Social media’s impact on daily life
Digital ethics and online responsibility
Copyright, plagiarism, and Creative Commons
Creating and sharing media responsibly online
Overall, this unit helped me become more aware of the digital world around me and how important it is to balance creativity, ethics, and responsible technology use in both school and everyday life. 💻📱
