I volunteered at Grove City Middle School's STEAM night, where I helped out with the animal station. Throughout the event, I engaged with excited children, discussing various animals shown at the station. Interacting with the kids allowed me to share insights about the animals, extending their curiosity and way of understanding the children. I changed my explanations and discussions to meet the age of the students, ensuring that each interaction was impactful. By making this learning experience exciting and fun, this experience connected to component 3c, Engaging Students in Learning of the Danielson framework. Overall, my participation in Grove City Middle School's STEAM night at the animal station helped the students and my understanding of unique animals like snakes and chinchillas and showed effective teaching practices aligned with the Danielson Framework. I also created a flyer using CANVA to share information with the students on zookeeping.
