Bitmoji Classroom is an online customized classroom that can be personalized with Bitmoji characters. Educators can use bitmoji classrooms to engage students by adding creative designs to their projects. Educators can incorporate a cozy and colorful classroom environment while adding the necessary materials for class. Bitmoji classroom offers interactive links, visual aids, decorations, interactive games and quizzes, and classroom bonding. Bitmoji classrooms are great for special education classrooms because they allow students to see some of the material used in class and welcome them in a fun and comfortable way. This tool can give students early access to the material needed for class and entertainingly engage them.
I created my Bitmoji classroom by finding a template online and uploading it into Buncee. Buncee is an online app that enables me to create a classroom using a template. I incorporated a cozy feel within my Bitmoji classroom on Buncee with chairs, bean bags, and a rug. I love making an environment look comfortable so the students know that my classroom is a safe place where they should feel at home. I incorporated a link to a good morning check-in for an easy way to take attendance. I also added a canvas project that I created for a lesson, “How to Be a Good Friend.” Another item I added to my Bitmoji classroom is a YouTube video that gives the students an idea of what we will do that day. For example, if my lesson is on communication skills, the students will see a heads-up on the board of what we will be working on that day through the video link on the whiteboard. This is a great way to give students an idea of what we will discuss to prepare them to learn! Lastly, I added a link to Curipod, another educational technology tool I have used to teach job skills when entering the workforce. You can view these two projects under the “Projects” tab!
