ClassroomScreen is a tech tool that improves classroom management and student engagement. This tool allows teachers to create digital dashboards while utilizing various tools and activities to incorporate into the classroom. This tech program offers tools like timers, group makers, QR codes, scoreboards, stickers, drawers, traffic lights, clocks, and others to enhance classroom management. These tools help plan the class, control the clock, provide instruction delivery, adapt to the class, and engage students. An example of using this tool would be to project the screen at the begining of the class and work from it throughout the entirety of the class. This way the class is organized and everything the students need for that day is in one place. If the teacher incorporates a game into the lesson, a great way to use this tool would be to use the scoreboard or clock.
The educational technology tool, ClassroomScreen, can be incorporated into multiple domains of the Danielson framework. First, this tool could be utilized to set instructional outcomes by displaying the goals set for the students and the lesson's objectives. This tool can relate to component 1C: Setting Instructional Outcomes by making the objectives clear. Next, ClassroomScreen can also manage classroom procedures by using the tools to structure the class and help transitions smoothly. These attributes of this tool could correlate with component 2C: Managing Classroom Procedures. Lastly, this tool can correlate to component 4C: Growing and Developing Professionally. Teachers can explore and get familiar with the functions of ClassroomScreen. This program can help teachers become more comfortable with Educational Tools, which would help their teaching style and continue their professional realm.
In my ClassroomScreen project, I incorporated a clock, a timer, my Bitmoji classroom (embedded), a Google form (link), a YouTube video, and a scoreboard. All of these widgets will help me manage my classroom for the planned lesson that day. For example, if I have a game plan for my lesson, the scoreboard would be a great way to keep track of the score, and everyone can clearly see it. The YouTube video benefits the students by giving them a heads-up about today's lesson. Within a special education classroom, giving students a heads up of what is coming and what the schedule will look like is why this tool is an excellent resource for a special ed classroom! The clock is essential so that the class will stay on track and we can get to everything that needs to be completed that day. I incorporated a Google form so the students can check in and access it independently. Lastly, I added my Google Classroom to add a welcoming feel to my project and give the students easy access to the classroom.
