Hello! I am currently attending Grove City College and majoring in Special and Elementary Education! In high school, I experienced a life skills classroom and was a part of Best Buddies which has influenced my decision to further a degree in special education. I have had experience with children with disabilities in a special needs ministry at my church and had experiences through school. I am excited to one day have my own classroom where I can engage with these students and show them that they are just as important and loved as every other. I look forward to showing my students respect and compassion when they walk into my classroom. I look forward to being patient with them when it comes to complex concepts and offering the material in several different ways. In high school, I was a part of National Honor society, Best Buddies, Interact Club, and many other clubs where I was able to get connected with the community I loved. I strive to have inclusion in my classroom to help students that learn differently to feel like they have a place in a classroom. I look forward to also gaining personal relationships with my students in order to keep up with their personal lives and educational trends that work best for them. I'm excited to one day have a special education classroom where I can portray all these things that I value.
