(Ki Hadjar Dewantara)
From the quote that was conveyed by Mr. Ki Hadjar Dewantara above, I got my teaching philosophy is that education aims to guide all existing nature in children so that they can achieve the highest safety and happiness. Educators can only guide the growth or help the natural strength that exists in every child so that they can improve their life and can grow the child's natural strength.
From this basic thinking I believe that all children are unique in that they have something special that they can bring to their own upbringing. Therefore, as a teacher candidate, I want to help students to be able to express themselves and accept themselves as they are, and embrace the differences of others. Besides that, each class has its own unique community and each student has a different ability to capture their learning. As a teacher candidate, I play a role in helping each child develop their own potential and learning style. I will try to present a curriculum or learning that incorporates different learning styles, as well as create content that is relevant to students' lives in real life. I will include hands-on learning, cooperative learning, interactive, projects, themes, and individual work that engages and activates student learning so that students continue to grow stronger by nature.
In addition, every child is unique because they have different abilities so they must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. Therefore, as a teacher candidate, I want to create a safe and supportive environment or atmosphere where students can fulfill their full potential, are free to share ideas, and dare to take risks based on their potential. I believe that there are five important elements for effective learning which are (1) the teacher acts as a guide, (2) students have the right to access the activities they want to do directly, (3) students must be able to make choices and let their curiosity as a guide for their learning (4) Students need opportunities to practice skills in a positive and comfortable environment (5) Finally, technological sophistication must be incorporated into school learning so that students are accustomed to being exposed to new things and students can be involved in broader learning.

In this quote, Mr. Ki Hadjar Dewantara emphasizes aspects of enriching insight and sharpening the sensitivity of the mind and heart. Based on this quote, I got my teaching philosophy that students do not only learn from teachers or books and schools are not the only place for students to gain knowledge. Students can get knowledge anywhere and can be obtained from anyone. That every person and every house/place actually has "something" that can be taken from the good side. Through this teaching philosophy I want to apply learning strategies that focus on student-centers where students can learn with other students and develop their knowledge together. Moreover, I believe through student-centers it is easier way for students to grow because they can convey the ideas they think about and involve students to participate more actively in learning.
