Hello! My name is Ni Putu Maryati Saputri, usually people called me Maryati. I am majoring English Language Education at Sampoerna University. I interest in education because I was born into an educated family and almost all of my family is a doctor or nurse. Initially, I was interested in the medical field and I wanted to become a doctor. Over time, I changed my mindset that I should have a different profession from my family. Moreover, after hearing and seeing the state of the education system in Indonesia, my interest in education is growing and I want to be involved in developing the education system in Indonesia. Technological advances and the development of the era encourage me to become a teacher because now English has become an international language and the second language of various countries. Furthermore, I often hear that many children who live in rural areas still have little access to education, so this case also become an additional point for me to involve in the education field and dedicate myself to be a teacher. Being a teacher is a noble thing even though many people avoid to become a teacher because for some reason such as the salary is low. However, I will find inner satisfaction when I see the students I teach become success. I want to be a teacher who have sympathy and compassion where I am able to understand the needs of my students and facilitate my students until they are successful, especially in learning English.
