- Composition with one of my original characters, Luio. Although I struggled with creating contrast between the grass on the ledge and background in this piece, I am proud as to how well the depths of color in the water and soil turned out! Additionally, I feel as if I have finally gotten a good start on cel shading, especially in the chest and neck regions. I have also, starting here, made changes to the style of my eyes, shrinking the whites slightly to eliminate the clumsy feel. (9/14/18)
- Composition of a silver tabby bust. I am very proud as to how my cel shading has developed on fur, even over one piece! Further, the new structure of my characters' eyes is coming along nicely; they are now more conforming to my desired, cartoon-like artistic style. Some of the colors used for shading and highlighting appear to be a little flat, however, I am still experimenting with what techniques to use. (9/23/18)
- Composition that showcases a grassy landscape at dusk. Although this image is quite simple, I am very excited to have been successful in creating depth/contrast with the grass! Due to this piece's colorfulness, I am planning on replacing the old banner on each artwork-related tab, which will hopefully give this website a more fresh look. Doing this work has also prepared me for my goals in October, which regards challenging myself on realistic backgrounds. (9/29/18)
